A Day of Going with the Flow
Sometimes, the best days are the ones where you just go with the flow. We decided to take a day off to slow down, embrace positivity, and really notice the little things around us. At first, the city felt overwhelming — cars rushing just below the speed limit, people moving fast, and the usual busy rhythm. I even caught myself getting irritated, trying to keep up. But once we consciously slowed down, everything felt different. We started to notice the small details and realized how much our interactions with others could matter.
A Moment of Music
While crossing the footbridge over the highway, I spotted a man playing the saxophone. I had never really listened to live saxophone before, and his music filled the space with so much positive energy that I couldn’t help but pause and enjoy it. It was a reminder that simple moments can leave a big impact.
Sweet Surprises: Nescafé × KitKat
Along the way, we stumbled upon a gigantic Nescafé caravan. Mr. Adam was there, brewing and sharing tastings of a brand-new Nescafé × KitKat drink. He was so friendly and full of positive energy that even though I had arrived feeling grumpy, his cheerful attitude had me leaving with a big smile. The drink itself was surprisingly good — a small but sweet discovery in the middle of the day.
Crossing the Caudan Swing Bridge
Another highlight was crossing the Caudan Swing Bridge. The bridge felt a bit bumpy, but I loved every moment. From up there, we could see the harbour and feel like we were moving at our own pace, above all the rush of the city below.
Wonder at Odysseo Aquarium
When we finally reached Odysseo Aquarium, we slowed down even more and took our time exploring. We admired every fish and animal closely, walked through the gigantic underwater tunnel, and watched stingrays being fed in the garden pond. My favourite part was the jellyfish — their glow and graceful movements were mesmerizing, and I took countless photos. There were also cozy couches and bean bags where we could lie down and watch sharks drift past enormous glass windows, creating a magical, almost surreal experience.
Small Treasures & Reflections
On the way back, I bought some pretty bracelets as small souvenirs to remember the day. Just like the saxophonist and Mr. Adam spread positive vibes and lifted my mood, I realized that my own actions can also impact the people and world around me. From now on, I want to be more mindful of how I behave, even in challenging situations.
Walking 6 km that day also helped me take care of my health and well‑being. Noticing the little things, slowing down, and going with the flow made the day unforgettable — proving that sometimes, the simplest choices can turn an ordinary day into something truly special.
